Chandragiri Scholarship
Chandragiri Savings and Credit Cooperative Ltd has established a higher education scholarship fund through contributions from various individuals and Chandragiri itself. The initiative aims to support economically disadvantaged and academically deserving students in community schools and campuses in pursuing higher education. Scholarships from this fund will be awarded exclusively to economically disadvantaged and academically meritorious students attending community schools and community campuses.
With collaboration from community schools, campuses, and local level government, students’ financial, social, and educational backgrounds will be assessed. Priority will be given to students from marginalized communities such as Dalits, minorities, backward classes, remote areas, and those with physical disabilities.
The scholarship amount will be Rs. 20,000 for students at the 10+2 and master’s degree levels, and Rs. 40,000 for students pursuing graduate studies.
The scholarship awarded to a student can be subject to review at any time if the student’s upcoming examination results are unsatisfactory, if false information has been submitted, or if other misconduct is identified. Necessary actions will be taken based on the findings of the review.
Donors interested in supporting this noble cause initiated by the organization are encouraged to contact us directly. Donors are required to contribute a minimum of Rs. 1 lakh for a scholarship. This provision allows up to two donors to jointly contribute Rs. 50,000 each, fulfilling the Rs. 1 lakh requirement and supporting one disadvantaged student. Contributors to the scholarship fund may recommend specific institutions for scholarship allocation while maintaining anonymity if desired. Individuals and organizations contributing to the fund may also be invited to attend meetings of the higher education scholarship sub-committee as required. Donors sponsoring scholarships for three or more students will have the privilege of selecting one-third of the recipients themselves.
