The Safe Maternity Program is an initiative offered by Chandragiri Savings and Credit Cooperative Ltd to ensure the safety and well-being of maternal mothers and newborn babies during childbirth. This program aims to address the cultural norms and practices that previously led to high mortality rates for both mothers and babies due to home births without proper medical care.
Key Features
Maternal Allowance
The program provides a maternal allowance of Rs 5000.00 for normal deliveries and Rs 7000.00 for cesarean section deliveries.
Regular Savings
Members should maintain regular/monthly savings to qualify for the program.
Membership Requirement
To be eligible for the allowance, members must have completed a minimum of 300 days of membership with Chandragiri SACCOS.
